Lista Privacy Policy

Lista ("the app") is developed by Tomatique, Lda. ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Portugal. This Privacy Policy explains how the app and its website handle your data.

Data Storage

The app stores all your data in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit technology. Your data remains under your control and is not stored on any servers owned or operated by us.

The app processes your data solely to provide the functionality you use within the app, including storing it locally for offline access.

Shared Lists

When you share a list with others, all participants can see the list name, items, sections, and the names of all other participants. Participant names are used to support features like item assignment. Sharing is managed through Apple's system sharing interface.

Analytics

Lista collects anonymous usage data to understand how features are used and to improve the app. This includes feature interactions and sync events. This data is processed by TelemetryDeck and cannot be used to identify you. No personal information or content from your lists is ever collected.

Push Notifications

Lista uses silent push notifications so that items you share through the system share sheet are processed and synced in a timely manner. To deliver them, the app sends your device's push notification token to a relay that runs on Bunny Edge Scripting, which forwards the request to Apple's Push Notification service. The relay is stateless: it does not store your push token, the request, or any other data, and this information is not linked to your identity.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

  • TelemetryDeck — anonymous analytics, as described under "Analytics".
  • Bunny — its Edge Scripting platform hosts the silent push notification relay, as described under "Push Notifications".

Your data is never used for advertising or shared with other parties.

Your Rights

The app is designed to give you full control over your data. You can:

  • Access and export your data — Use the export feature in Settings to download all your data in JSON, CSV, or Markdown format.
  • Correct your data — Edit any content directly in the app.
  • Delete your data — Remove any content at any time. You can also permanently delete all data stored by the app in your device's Settings under iCloud storage.

Since your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, you maintain direct control over it.

Information Security

Your data is protected by Apple's iCloud security measures. We do not have access to your iCloud credentials or encryption keys.

Website

The Lista website uses Matomo for analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Matomo is configured to:

  • Not use cookies
  • Anonymize visitor IP addresses
  • Automatically delete raw data after a retention period

No personally identifiable information is collected, and analytics data is not shared with third parties.

Links to Other Resources

The website may contain links to external sites not operated by us. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of these sites and assume no responsibility for them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
